India lost 5-4 off a 64th minute goal from Mohammad Imran to clinch the second Asian Champions Trophy in Doha, Qatar. In an incredibly exciting game where the advantage swung back and forth, it was Pakistan that held their nerve to score the winning goal with 6 minutes to go. India’s Rupinder Singh had equalized for India in the 59th minute to make it 4 each.
There was a controversial moment in the 67th minute after India walked off the field after they were denied a penalty corner. They were coaxed to come back on a few minutes later, but their efforts in the last few minutes were in vain as Pakistan bravely held on to their slender one goal lead.
