Faisal Saari scored an equalizer a minute away from full time to give Malaysia a well earned draw against Australia. Saari scored in the 69th minute through a penalty corner. Trent Mitton had scored for Australia in the 34th minute to give his country the lead. Australia were wasteful in penalty corners, having been awarded a total of nine penalty corners in the game.
With this draw, both teams remain unbeaten in the tournament so far, with two wins and one draw. Australia have the better goal difference, thanks to their 6-0 win over Pakistan two days ago.
